Arkansas State University Museum

Found on the Arkansas State University Jonesboro campus, the Arkansas State University Museum is in the west wing of the Dean B. Ellis Library building. The ASU Museum consists of over 70,000 items organized into permanent exhibits, temporary displays and artifacts for study.

Permanent exhibit include the “Old Town Arkansas” and the “Crowley's Ridge Mastodon.” The ASU Museum also houses the Native American Gallery and the Mary Stack Gallery. Closed on Mondays, the ASU Museum offers guided group tours and self-guided tours. Blytheville Heritage Museum

The Blytheville Heritage Museum - set in northeaster part of the state - exhibits the history of Arkansas industries such as cotton and logging. Housed in what was once the Kress Building on Main Street, the Blytheville Heritage Museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center

The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center, in Piggott, showcases Ernest Hemingway and his second wife Pauline Pheiffer's family, of northwest Arkansas. On site is the 1930s barn that was converted to a studio that Hemingway used to write several short stories and the A Farewell to Arms novel. The barn and the family home are included on the National Historic Register in 1982.
