A 4,300-acre national park, Pea Ridge National Military Park is situated in northern Arkansas, and is one of six national parks in the state. The park preserves the site of the American Civil War Battle of Pea Ridge of 1862, and was established as a national park in 1963.
Pea Ridge National Military Park encompasses a nine-mile horse trail, a seven-mile hiking trail, and seven-mile tour path with 10 stops along the way.
Make the drive in from nearby Bentonville and step inside the Pea Ridge Visitor Center for the half-hour orientation video, book and gift shop, and small museum on the Battle of Pea Ridge.
