Parkin Archeological State Park
Also dubbed the Parkin Indian Mound, the Parkin Archeological State Park is located in eastern Arkansas along the Mississippi River Delta – less than 30 miles west of West Memphis. This Arkansas state park is a U.S. National Historic Landmark, and yields a wealth of outdoor adventures.
An archeological site, the park was formerly a 17-acre Mississippi Period village – and now features interpretive exhibits and auditorium. Other amenities include a gift shop, picnic spots, playgrounds, and onsite pavilion. It's just one of the many exceptional Arkansas state parks.
