Mount Magazine State Park
Covering over 2,000 acres, Mount Magazine State Park is located in northern Arkansas, just north of the Ouachita National Forest and near the city of Russellville. As Arkansas’ highest point, Mount Magazine stands at 2,753 feet, while the park features plenty of recreation. It's one on a long list of impressive Arkansas state parks.
Outdoor activities include hiking, horseback riding, ATV riding, hang gliding, mountain biking, rappelling, swimming, and rock climbing. Bike down Huckleberry Mountain Horse Trail or Will Apple's Road Trail, fish Blue Mountain Lake, Cove Lake, Spring Lake, and Cedar Piney Lake, or catch the annual Mount Magazine International Butterfly Festival.
