Fort Smith Regional Airport
Fly into Arkansas and land at Fort Smith Regional Airport, located south of Van Buren in northern Arkansas. The airport expanded throughout the years, with the addition of a hangar, the relocation of the runways, additional land and infrastructure. It is just one of the many Arkansas airports.
In 1954, the airport serviced the Arkansas Air National Guard's 188th Tactical Fighter Wing. The airport continues to be the home base for the Wing, as well as supports training activity from the 314th Airlift Wing from the Little Rock Air Force Base.
In 2002, the airport opened a 52,200 square foot terminal complex consisting of a passenger building, airline gates, rental car desks, the Landing Cafe, offices and parking lots. General aviation and commercial airline passengers find convenience, safety and excellent customer services, at the Fort Smith Regional Airport.
